OH MY LAWDY

Nobody pointed out that on my danger bun post I used the words pubic demand rather than public demand. It was just brought to me attention. I am chuckling now and will fix it. Thank you.

An anonymous comment was left about my use of the term bucks. Technically a boy bunny is a buck and a girl bunny is a doe. I don't normally use those impersonal terms to describe a bunny but it in this instance it just flowed better. Lighten up just a little k?

More Dangerous Buns On The Loose

Due to public demand and in the interest of safety the FBI (federal bunny investigators) have released more criminal profiles. You may remember past bulletins but if not maybe this will jog your memory..http://rabidtidbits.blogspot.com/2011/03/halfway-house-for-hooligans.html

Darla "Devil May Care" Dootdropper

This bunny is not to be trifled with. Remember Belle Star? Darla makes her look like a preschool teacher. A derringer tucked in her dewlap, she will draw down on you in a heartbeat. Her con is cheating elderly bucks out of their vegetable vouchers. She might look soft and feminine but she is hard as nails.

Whoosh "The Widowmaker" Wackamole

The other half of this modern day Bonnie and Clyde. His name is said only in whispers. Rumored to be a cross-dresser, he often goes in disguise as a Yorkie. He is wanted for the infamous Carrot Caper. He can move in and out of a produce aisle in the blink of an eye. The only evidence left behind are tufts of white fur and a calling card that states "go suck on an Easter egg"

As I have warned you in the past do NOT attempt to apprehend these silly monkeys, ahem I mean dangerous felons. Call their mommy at 911bun and I will come and get them.

Where To Begin

It has been awhile folks. I am slowly trying to get caught up on all my favorite blogs.
Millie has been here two years this month. I cant believe how time has flown. My old girl doesn't hop anymore, she scoots. Not a problem for her. She is 9 this year and her back legs just don't work so well. Love you Millie Mouse.
Spending lots of time in the yard as you can tell by the new header. I dearly love seeing everything bud out. It was 92 here today. That is too hot for the first of April. I hope it isn't an indication of the kind of summer we will have.
Dudley had a lot of ups and downs. I didn't go into a lot of detail but he was really struggling for a while. The mass in his tummy was thanks to his eating his cat cube. I suspect tooth pain was the culprit. It took a couple of weeks to get it all out of his system. Cat cube is gone and he is still on antibiotics for the tooth infection. I think he is coming back but I am keeping a watchful eye on him. He lost weight through this ordeal and I want it back on him.
Mojo, Darla and Whoosh are doing great. Whoosh has really come out of his shell. I get a lot of thumps and tail flicks now and he actually comes for head rubs. Darla has been a good influence. She is the most loving bunny. I have never seen such a gentle nature in a bunny besides Haven. Mojo is no longer my sleek black bunny, she is getting a touch of gray in her fur. She is 5 this year.
As you all know our friend Lucky at http://houseofrabbits.blogspot.com/ crossed into the summerlands. My heart goes out to all of them.
I have turned on the comment moderator. My blog has been inundated with porn spam. No, I don't not watch porn and I have no idea where its coming from.
Quick warning for all the bunny bloggers. There is a person/group that strongly supports breeding and breeders rights. She is pretty nasty and has starting lurking on some of the bunny blogs. They accuse rescues of stealing rabbits and exaggerating homeless numbers. They think the Make Mine Chocolate campaign is a big joke. I am not going to go deeply into the topic but I want you all to be aware in case they show up on your blog. That is another reason I have the moderator now turned on. I do NOT want this blog turned into a battle ground. I can deal with that other places.
I hope you all have a wonderful week and a happy Easter. I have invited a couple of people to guest blog and I hope they take me up on it. I think you will enjoy hearing from them.
Want to remind everyone not to buy baby bunnies or chicks for Easter. Small kids and bunnies do not go well together. Make yours a chocolate or a stuffed bunny this Easter!

Pet Remembrance Day

The blog world is alive today with people telling tales and sharing memories of lost loved animal friends. They are asking that we light a candle and drink a toast to the ones that have gone before us. Follow the trail if you like. Its starts here:

Best quote so far: "we may not have had them with us forever, but we were their- ever"
I dont see it as them leaving holes in our hearts as much as I see them leaving to make room for another lost soul.

Dudley Update

Thanks everyone for all your wishes and prayers. Dudley is slowing coming back. Late last night he ate all his greens and is pooping like he is in a contest. He would not eat at the vet or poop so yesterday morning under heavy protest I took him home. I can do fluids and all the shots right here where he feels safe. When he saw Mojo immediately his mood lifted and he started running around. That seemed to get the pooper going. He is on baytril for the tooth infection. The molar was very ugly, long and growing into his cheek.

I am off to do subqs and give him his meds. Wish me luck because he is one pissed off bunny rabbit with mom. We are guarded but very pleased with his progress.

Thank you ALL so much. You are always the people that get me through this.
