While it isnt done yet and all reports are not yet in.....We heard from Lisa in Long Island and they are A-okay. We heard from family in NC and they are A-okay. Still waiting on Shell at Rasberry Rabbits?????? (suspect they are without power)Some are already suggesting that warnings and evacuations were over-blown and people overreacted. I only have one word for them. "BULLSH*T

Anyone who says that has never been through one of the bad storms. Ike was just a 2. The people of Bolivar Peninsula (the ones that lived) will tell you what a 2 can do. Allison flooded our entire city, and it was just a tropical storm. If you are told to evacuate, LEAVE. If you have a home to return to when it's over, be thankful and don't complain.

The Frenchman has told me more than once that if we ever hear of a natural disaster heading our way, he's going to head for the hills as quickly as possible - no second thoughts.
Hope that Millie does not get up before feed. Irene will look like a puff ball compared to her wrath ...

Thanks for the reports and updates. I heartily agree with you on taking "better safe than sorry." After all, what is some inconvenience compared to major destruction, loss of property, and loss of life? Unfortunately, some of the die-hards will not heed the warnings next time, saying that this one didn't amount to much [wherever they are], so why bother. Then, when it is too late, they will know.
That worries me too Bunnits. Will it be dismissed next time because this one wasnt as destructive? (although Irene did PLENTY of damage to some states)
